Winter NAMM show 2009!

Ryan and I headed out to Anaheim California for the annual NAMM convention in beautiful Anaheim California. NAMM is the largest trade show in the music industry. It is four days of everything and anything you can imagine for the music enthusiast. We were able to conduct some great interviews for Road Crew Magazine, hand out with some awesome people and meet some cool rock stars! We were so impressed be the enormity of it all and loved all of the instruments...the guitars especially. We hope to make this an annual trip because even in four days we still couldn't see it all!

Road Crew Magazine!

Well, as if Ryan and I didn't have enough on our plates, we have decided to start our own online magazine. Luckily, we have some of the most talented and dedicated journalists from all over the USA, Canada, and Europe helping us out. Road Crew Magazine is for all music lovers. We will feature interviews, reviews, news, and of course PHOTOS! The Rockstar Mayhem Festival!

We had a blast photographing the Mayhem festival on June 20th! I was really excited about seeing Disturbed because I love their music! We also photographed Black Tide, Airbourne, Dragonforce and Colorado's own Five Finger Death Punch! It was over 100 degrees in Denver and I did get a bit light headed at one point. All of the bands were fantastic! If you get a chance to catch any of them live..do it! You won't be disappointed! Jag Panzer comes home!

Jag Panzer played a show in their home town of Colorado Springs for the first time in over 14 years and we were their to photograph it! They are such an awesome metal band and really nice guys too! If you love metal and want to support local artists, check them out at http://www.jagpanzer.com/ They are working on a new CD and will be heading over to Italy early next year to tour! I hope they make it back this way for more shows!

DOA 2008

Ryan was lucky enough to go to Florida for the Dean Owners of America Convention. He met and photographed the owner and the founder of Dean Guitars. He was also able to do some live concert photography of Vinnie Moore, Michael Angelo Batio, Bill Peck and some other well known artists. Needless to say, he was like a kid and a candy store! Oh, and he couldn't leave without a new guitar for himself! Hopefully, next year I can join in the fun...

Well, we have started a new website: RocknRollPhotography.com ! We originally were going to add a music catagory to blackforestphoto.com but, decided why not build a whole new website dedicated just too music! Ryan and I love music and go to concerts a lot. We are hoping to do more interviews, CD covers, live performance photography, and musician portraits. But we still love our weddings! Check out the new site!
