Something Personal

Most of our posts are of our business. However, I recently finished a book that really touched me. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I really wanted to read this book to learn more about the middle eastern culture. I think Americans have a very narrow view of other cultures, especially the middle east. I love to be educated! I cannot recommend this book enough. The history of Afghanistan is told through a beautiful and tragic story of two women's lives. These people have the same hopes and aspirations that all people do. Unfortunately, their lives have been terrorized by one tyrant after another. I am glad they are on their way to recovery but, what a long road it is. You can visit Khaled Hosseini's website to find out ways to help the Afghan people. They were and still are victims of terrorists as we are. - Becky

Our July 14th Wedding

One word: WOW! Our bride, Rachael, was amazing! Amazing personality along with amazing looks. Rachael and Chad were married at the Broadmoor Community Church. They will be having a large reception back in Kentucky so we had lots of time to just have fun! We will have all of their photos up soon. Thanks guys!

Congratulations to Kim & Rich!

Kim and Rich were married at the beautiful Briarhurst Manor on June 2nd. We all had alot of fun! Our 7-7-07 Wedding

We photographed Sarah & Jonathan's wedding on what some say is the luckiest day in history. It has also been one of the most popular days to get married. Sarah was on the ball though, she booked us a year and a half out from her wedding knowing how soon everyone would book up. Here is a photo of my lovely bride on her horse. Congratulations guys! Double Briarhurst Manor Weddings

We were at the Briarhurst Friday June 29th and Saturday June 30th with two great couples. We photographed Chelsea & Shawn's weddings on Friday and Alison and Mark's weddings on Saturday. We love the Briarhurst. There are so many wonderful places to take photos and the staff and food are awesome.

Congratulations Jennifer & Geremy!

We photographed Jennifer & Geremy's wedding on June 1st at The Cliff House. All the flowers were in bloom which made for awesome photos. Everyone was so nice and we had a great time with them. Black Forest Light Show

Wow!! We had a storm last night out in the forest. The good news was that we finally got some much needed rain (dry conditions make people living in the woods pretty nervous!!). The cool part about it was the light show. Lightning can be pretty tough to capture, but I got lucky. This shot was taken from the little balcony that comes off of the loft in our studio. Baby Shower!

We attended our friends, Jason & Christy's, baby shower this past Sunday. Jason owns Polyscenic Photography and they must have had 4 or 5 photographers taking pictures. They called it a baby shower but, it was more like a baby party! These are a few of my favorites that I took. Yes, those are grown men drinking out of baby bottles behind Christy!

We ran into our friend Jason from Polyscenic Photography at the Garden of the Gods Club. He was just finishing up a wedding while we were arriving for ours. Welcome Baby Mason!

We photographed Laura and Chris's new addition, Mason! He was a month early! We were lucky to get Laura's maternity photos done! ( See them below)He is doing great! He truly is a little angel. Stevie Nicks Concert

I got to have a little break ( which are few and far between) and went to see Stevie Nicks in concert at Red Rocks last night. Stevie is my FAVORITE! I had 7th row center and she was awesome as always. I try to see her everytime she is in town. My goal is to get first row one of these years and back stage passes would be nice too! Chris Isaac opened up for her. I don't really listen to him but, let me tell you, he is awesome in concert as well! And, he came out in the audience right by me! My small brush with fame! Anyway, here is a pic of Stevie and a pic of me in my Stevie garb. My little "owed to Stevie portrait." " I've never been a blue calm sea, I've always been a storm..." Ah, Stevie you nailed me with that lyric!

My Little Drummer

I just thought I would share this photo of my four year old son. He is following in Daddy's footsteps with the drums. Who knows he might be the next Tommy Lee or John Bonham! He is actually very good. He even impressed the guys at the Drum shop!

Memorial Day Weekend Weddings

Yesterday, May 26th, was a busy day for us. Memorial Day Weekend is one of the most popular weekends to be married. We started off at The Briarhurst with Melissa & Nate and ended at the Garden of the Gods Club with Brent & Jessica. Two Wedding Photographers

Having two photographers at your wedding gets you twice the perspective. Many companies offer a photographer and an assistant but, an assistant is not a professional photographer. Ryan and I are both pros. We both have unique and different eyes for photos. This is one of the things that make ours one of the top studios in Colorado Springs! Here are some photos from Stephanie and Danny's wedding we photographed on May 12th. We will have all their photos up soon. I was in the room with the bride getting ready while Ryan was outside with the groom. He happened to look up and see her dress in the window. I took the same photo from inside. Great minds think alike! HA! The beauty of having two photographers at your wedding...

I just finished Emily & Greg's wedding album layout. They chose an Art Leather Cache album. Emily & Greg were married last December at the First Presbyterian Church with a reception at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. The wedding was during one of our biggest snow storms last winter!
