Congratulations Stephanie & Danny! We photographed our fun couple on May 12th at the Marriott. We met them at Stephanie's sister, Kristi's wedding last September. Stephanie loved Kristi's photos so much that she hired us for her wedding as well. They never stopped smiling all day long. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day guys! We photographed Jennifer & Geremy's wedding yesterday, June 1st, at the Cliffhouse. We had beautiful weather and a beautiful couple. They were off to Alaska for the honeymoon. Congratulations you guys!

Shoot out!

We ran into our friend Jason from Polyscenic Photography at the Garden of the Gods Club. He was just finishing up a wedding while we were arriving for ours. Ryan & Jason had a "shoot out", blasting each other with their cameras as they passed each other by. Here is ours of him, I'm scared to see his of Ryan! HA!

Welcome Baby Mason!

We photographed Laura and Chris's new addition, Mason! He was a month early! We were lucky to get Laura's maternity photos done! ( See them below)He is doing great! He truly is a little angel. Thank you for letting us continue to be a part of your lives: engagement, wedding, maternity, and newborn. Hopefully we will continue to photograph Mason as he grows. Congratulations Laura & Chris!

Stevie Nicks Concert

I got to have a little break ( which are few and far between) and went to see Stevie Nicks in concert at Red Rocks last night. Stevie is my FAVORITE! I had 7th row center and she was awesome as always. I try to see her everytime she is in town. My goal is to get first row one of these years and back stage passes would be nice too! Chris Isaac opened up for her. I don't really listen to him but, let me tell you, he is awesome in concert as well! And, he came out in the audience right by me! My small brush with fame! Anyway, here is a pic of Stevie and a pic of me in my Stevie garb. My little "owed to Stevie portrait." " I've never been a blue calm sea, I've always been a storm..." Ah, Stevie you nailed me with that lyric!

My Little Drummer

I just thought I would share this photo of my four year old son. He is following in Daddy's footsteps with the drums. Who knows he might be the next Tommy Lee or John Bonham! He is actually very good. He even impressed the guys at the Drum shop!

Memorial Day Weekend Weddings

Yesterday, May 26th, was a busy day for us. Memorial Day Weekend is one of the most popular weekends to be married. If you are thinking about getting married on Memorial Day Weekend 2008, start looking for your venues and vendors now! We started off at The Briarhurst with Melissa & Nate and ended at the Garden of the Gods Club with Brent & Jessica. We did Brent and Jessica's engagement photos this week. We photographed their wedding yesterday, May 26th, at The Garden of the Gods Club. They are and awesome couple! They wanted fun and unique photos of their wedding and were up to anything we suggested. Two Wedding Photographers

Having two photographers at your wedding gets you twice the perspective. Many companies offer a photographer and an assistant but, an assistant is not a professional photographer. Ryan and I are both pros. We both have unique and different eyes for photos. This is one of the things that make ours one of the top studios in Colorado Springs! Here are some photos from Stephanie and Danny's wedding we photographed on May 12th. We will have all their photos up soon. I was in the room with the bride getting ready while Ryan was outside with the groom. He happened to look up and see her dress in the window. I took the same photo from inside. Great minds think alike! HA! The beauty of having two photographers at your wedding...

Emily & Greg's album

I just finished Emily & Greg's wedding album layout. They chose an Art Leather Cache album. Emily & Greg were married last December at the First Presbyterian Church with a reception at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. The wedding was during one of our biggest snow storms last winter! Laura & Chris

Laura and Chris were married two years ago ( on May Day) at the Briarhurst Manor. Even though it was May, it snowed! They were alot of fun to photograph. You can view some of their wedding photos here. Now our lovely couple is expecting their first baby ( a boy!) So they came back to see us for maternity portraits. We will see them again in a month for baby photos too! Congratulations you guys!

Guitar Lovers... This is for you.

If you are a guitar afficionado, you will no doubt recognize the manufacturer, Dean Guitars. You may also (if you are of the heavy metal persuasion) recognize the band name 'Jag Panzer'. It just so happens that their guitar player, Mark Briody lives in Colorado Springs and is a friend of ours. It also happens that he is a Dean Guitar endorsed artist, and has one of the first production models of the new Dean Soltero guitar. Dean guitars needed a shot of the guitar with Mark, and luckily... He called me up. Since I'm an old school metal drummer, I was more than happy to oblige... ('giddy' is more like it). The shoot went wonderfully. It was nice to perform a 'commercial' shoot without the normal pressure and deadlines associated with them. So check out the photo toward the bottom of the Dean home page, click on it for a larger version (and story). If you search around the Dean Forum, Mark was also kind enough to post a photo there and a quick note about the shoot. I also invite you to support our local musicians and hey... if you have got $5,000 burning a hole in your pocket... check out the new Dean Soltero guitar (about $7k once it's souped up like Mark's). He assures me, you won't be sorry. Oh, and no... I never actually touched the piece... I'm not known for my finesse behind the drum kit, so it is probably better that way. -Ryan

p.s. Mark has also recently been chosen to represent Engl Amplifiers, and his band Jag Panzer has been chosen to headline for the Keep it True festival in Germany in 2008 (not too far from where I grew up!)

Michael & Su's Wedding

Congratulations to Su and Michael who were married this past Saturday, April 28th at St. Andrews with a reception at the Cliffhouse. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. If you are engaged and looking for a reception (ceremonies too!) location, you should definately check out the Cliffhouse. The hotel is exquisite, the staff are awesome ( thanks Kristin, Tiffany, and Sabina!), and the food is unbelievable!
